I was singing along in the car to a demo tape by some Norwich based musicians. and the lyrics referred to the salt of the earth... but I kept singing the salt of the sea, which then made me think of the salty taste of tears... and a song was born. Lyrical Allusions are made to PMT and that even tears can be happy ones, the fact the rain was beating on the window as I recorded the song and that fears can be packed away at the end of a day like toys into a toy box.......
